Kyle Morrisey has been a part of our gym family long enough to have CrossFit running through his veins. He started coming to the gym as a young boy with his mom, and health and fitness has become a central focus in his life. Kyle is eager to learn new skills and improve on his lifts and other movements. Read on to learn more about the guy who claims he’s even received a compliment from Eazy…ppft…
WHAT INITIALLY GOT YOU INTO CROSSFIT AND WHAT KEEPS YOU COMING BACK?
I started off going to Explosive Speed Gym with Eazy and transitioned to CrossFit when Eazy made the switch. Working out is now part of my routine, and I like having a set workout and other people around me to push myself.
TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF. WHAT DO YOU DO OUTSIDE OF THE GYM?
I am 19 and a sophomore at Illinois State University. I like to play basketball whenever I get the chance, and I also play dodgeball, flag football, and spikeball.
WHAT’S AN ACCOMPLISHMENT OR GOAL YOU’VE REACHED DUE TO CROSSFIT THAT’S MADE YOU THE MOST PROUD?
I was finally able to get a bar muscle up and ring muscle up this summer. I also got a compliment from Eazy once.
IF THERE WAS ONE CROSSFIT MOVEMENT YOU’D LIKE TO PERFECT, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
I would like to be able to do more than 3 muscle ups in a row. I would also like to be able to do heavier snatches
ANY ADVICE FOR SOMEONE INTERESTED IN TRYING OUT CROSSFIT?
Just go for it. Make it a habit to workout and it will be so much easier.
