WHAT INITIALLY GOT YOU INTO CROSSFIT AND WHAT KEEPS YOU COMING BACK?

I was a typical gym bro stuck in a forever bulk life. Just wanted to go lift weights to get bigger. I realized I needed something to push me I was bored with bicep curls and chest day. I was always hesitant about doing CrossFit until I stepped foot into CFHE. Eazy, Matt, Gina and Bryce welcomed me with open arms told me check my ego at the door and I’ve never looked back! They all have pushed me as well as everyone else at CFHE it makes me wanting to come back 5-6 days a week because I want to get better and get to hang out with like minded people everyday. I’ve told myself at the beginning I’ll give this a shot for a month or two and now I will never quit doing CrossFit!

TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF. WHAT DO YOU DO OUTSIDE OF THE GYM?

I’m born and raised here in Illinois, 26 years old and engaged to the most amazing girl in the world! When I’m not at CrossFit, which sometimes I wish I could be all day you can usually find me with me playing flag football on Sundays, eating, seeing a movie or traveling the world. Me and my fiancée are both big travelers we visited Thailand last year and just got back from our trip in Bali. We both have plans on traveling the world for the rest of our lives as much as possible.

WHAT’S AN ACCOMPLISHMENT OR GOAL YOU’VE REACHED DUE TO CROSSFIT THAT’S MADE YOU THE MOST PROUD?

I would have to say getting the bar muscle up so early in my time with CrossFit. However the biggest accomplishment is I feel like I’m in the best shape of my life!

IF THERE WAS ONE CROSSFIT MOVEMENT YOU’D LIKE TO PERFECT, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

That gosh dang snatch and overhead squat!! I hate it I hate it but will not stop until I get it down better and be able to move some weight with that movement.

ANY ADVICE FOR SOMEONE INTERESTED IN TRYING OUT CROSSFIT?

You will not regret it I’ve gained so much from CrossFit not just physical but mentally and have made some serious strides in my health. I’ve also gained many friendships and continue to get better everyday. That’s the biggest thing about CrossFit there is no ceiling you can keep getting better everyday.
